Rugged and broad-shouldered, luxuriously bewhiskered, even when weighed on a scale opposite Moses of the Bible and the Prophets. Masculine and virile, he would thrive on the 18th century frontier among wilderness hunters and pathfinders — a raw and sometimes brutal life of hard labor — chopping trees, cutting trails, living by the rifle and the knife, killing, skinning, butchering, at times defending against attacks from alien indigenous peoples. Now he might be former military, I guess an ammunition re-loader whose gun cabinet stays packed with long and short weapons. Here he seems to transform into an iconic personage, a flawless type of that certain kind of American male.
